After a major outage the EMRC website is back online!
I would like to thank Michael Greenhill for hosting EMRC since it started in 2010. Michael not only provided the hosting but he also helped iron out the early bugs with Joomla and a few other problems that came up throughout the life of the site.
As our site caused problems for Michael too, EMRC now has it's own hosting.
Server 500 Errors
We are still getting frequent "Server 500" errors plus others due to excessive traffic to our site. I am trying to resolve these issues so until fixed please bear with us.

Progress has been slow but steady (much, much slower than originally anticipated) over the last eighteen months. The initial construction of the layout was adequate, but Doug soon realised his supports for the upper level of track left something to be desired. So another member of the EMRC, Glen Eaton, was "volunteered" to do some corrective surgery, producing a more sturdy base for the track (thanks Glen !). The basic scenery is almost finished, and with a passing siding on each level, it is possible to have up to 4 trains ready to go at any time. While originally we began with a generic American train set, plus some donated generic rolling stock, the Araleun team have over time, and with inspiration from a trip to see Puffing Billy, decided they really want to have Australian models, so stock has been sold to raise cash, and now investigations are underway to source affordable Australian trains (we have a limited budget !).

Murranbilla has been sold to the Murray Railway Modellers who are located in Albury.
Once David and Chris checked that all of the electrics were fine it was great to see members making use of Murranbilla for the last time.
After some weeks of organising last Saturday (4-9-2010) several members from the Murray Railway Modellers took instruction on how to dismantle Murranbilla. The layout was packed away into EMRC's trailer for the last time.
Now to move onto building the new exhibition layout.
