Doug and Glenn visited Wiluna on the 12th of February and found the layout a bit neglected. Before the perspex surround had been fitted several of the children had reached in and broken some of the buildings.
The perspex surround is excellent. The panels simply lift out to allow easy access for train retrieval and maintenance.
The electrics and controllers seem to be OK but a test run is required.
Repairs Required
Overall, the layout is in quite good shape. The following items need attention however:
- Girder bridge needs its spans glued back into position. We couldn't work out which part of the track they had come from.

- Station roof needs re-gluing onto the supporting pillars.
- Windmill needs replacing with another. This could be omitted though.
- Town hall, a large building, needs replacing with another of similar size to fill in the now empty space.
Help Needed
Some funds from Wiluna have been made available to make repairs; and volunteers will be needed to assemble the new buildings and install them onto the layout.

The amount of funds available is yet to be determined, Wiluna need to be advised as to how much the repairs will be.
